Learn to Snowboard

Although you can’t beat the real thing, learning on a dry ski slope is an option that hundreds take up each year.

When learning to snowboard you have to choose from two options: Take lessons at home on dry slope or indoor snow slope or wait until you get to resort and take lessons.

Taking lessons at home

Many people arent aware that you have a dry slope or indoor snow slope near you that can help you to learn. For a list of your local slopes please choose from the options below.

Check out where your local slope is and contact them for more information on individual lessons. Courses can start at around £60 and private lessons can be had for as little as £20 per hour.

Make sure to take long sleeves and gloves with you as this is the standard dress code for most dry slopes in the UK. Expect 10-12 lessons to master the arts of skiing or snowboarding.

Taking lessons in resort

If you want to learn to ski or snowboard in resort expect an easier time than in the UK. A normal course of lessons would cost around £120 and may include equipment. These would be 2 hour lessons each morning for up to 5 days.

By the time you reach the end of these lessons you should have enough control to tackle the blue runs within resorts around the world. Please check with your instructor to check your standard.

Remember to shop around as all sorts of options are available and different instrcutor courses offer different packages.
